Man’s “Holy Leg” Brutally Hacked Off!!!

by kiki2u @ 2007-12-26 - 09:58:55

" An 80-year-old man in India claimed to have a "holy leg" that could heal people of spiritual and physical problems if they touched it. But not anymore:
Police say that the self-styled ‘Godman’ - who lives in a village near the city of Tirupati - was approached a few days ago by two strangers who came to seek his advice over a medical problem.

They say that the pair returned to the old man on Tuesday ostensibly to thank him for his help.

-"As the old man had the weakness of drinking, he accepted their invitation to have drinks with them," said local police Sub-Inspector Pendakanti Dastgiri.

-"They took him to a deserted spot in the outskirts of the village.

-"After the old man had passed out under the influence of liquor, they cut off his right leg from the knee," he said.

Mr Dastgiri said that the amputation was carried out in a very "brutal manner" and that police are still looking for the leg and the men who so cruelly took it.
He said that the assailants used a sharp hunting knife, and left the old man alone and bleeding slowly to death."

:-/ Weird eh?

" THE SANTA CLAUS STORY " :
-A Christmas Story
" Once upon a time a man called Nicholas lived in Patara, a town in the East. Because he was very fond of children and was kind and generous to them, they came to think of him as their dear friend and their beloved saint. So it was that after a time the wonderful things he did were woven into a beautiful legend. You know that Santa means Saint and Claus stands for Nicholas, and that is how he came to be known as Santa Claus.

In Santa Claus's own town, Patara, lived a great lord who had three daughters. He was very poor, so poor that one day he was on the point of sending his daughters out to beg for food from his neighbors. But it happened that Saint Nicholas not long before had come into a fortune, and as he loved giving to those in need, he no sooner heard of the trouble the poor lord was in than he made up his mind to help him secretly. So he went to the nobleman's house at night, and as the moon shone out from behind a cloud, he saw an open window into which he threw a bag of gold, and with this timely gift the father was able to provide for his eldest daughter so that she could be married. On another night Santa Claus set off with another bag of gold, and threw it in at the window, so the second daughter was provided for. But by this time, the father had grown eager to discover who the mysterious visitor could be, and next night he kept on the lookout. Then for the third time Santa Claus came with a bag of gold upon his back and itched it in at the window. The old lord at once recognized his fellow townsman, and falling on his knees, cried out "Oh! Nicholas, servant of God, why seek to hide yourself?"

Is it not wonderful to think that this was so long ago, sixteen hundred years, yet we still look for the secret coming of Santa Claus with his Christmas gifts? At first he was said to come on his own birthday, which is early in December, but after awhile, as was very natural with Christmas so near, the night of his coming was moved on in the calendar, and now we hang up our stockings to receive his gifts on Christmas Eve. In some countries children still put their shoes by the fireside on his birthday. In others they say it is the Christ-Kindlein or Christ Child who brings the gifts at Christmastime. But it is always a surprise visit, and though it has happened so many hundreds or times, the hanging up of the Christmas stocking is still as great a delight as ever." :)

" The Christmas Stocking "
-A Christmas Story

" The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there.

There was a kindly nobleman whose wife had died of an illness leaving the nobleman and his three daughters in despair. After losing all his money in useless and bad inventions the family had to move into a peasant's cottage, where the daughters did their own cooking, sewing and cleaning.
The next morning when the daughters awoke they found their stockings contained enough gold for them to get married. The nobleman was able to see his three daughters marry and he lived a long and happy life.

Children all over the world continue the tradition of hanging Christmas stockings. In some countries children have similar customs, in France the children place their shoes by the fireplace, a tradition dating back to when children wore wooden peasant shoes.
In Holland the children fill their shoes with hay and a carrot for the horse of Sintirklass. In Hungary children shine their shoes before putting them near the door or a window sill.
Italian children leave their shoes out the night before Epiphany, January 5, for La Befana the good witch. And in Puerto Rico children put greens and flowers in small boxes and place them under their beds for the camels of the Three Kings.

When it came time for the daughters to marry, the father became even more depressed as his daughters could not marry without dowries, money and property given to the new husband's family.
One night after the daughters had washed out their clothing they hung their stockings over the fireplace to dry. That night Saint Nicholas, knowing the despair of the father, stopped by the nobleman's house. Looking in the window Saint Nicholas saw that the family had gone to bed. He also noticed the daughters stockings. Inspiration struck Saint Nicholas and he took three small bags of gold from his pouch and threw them one by one down the chimney and they landed in the stockings."
;)

...I must say that in Portugal children and addults still do a kind of this tradition too, a special sock and/or a shoe from each one of the family is let on Xmas.Eve by the Xmas.tree or by the fireplace
OK< i have more Xmas stories, if you enjoy these ones i'l post more during these Xmas week :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS for YOU ALL

TOP10STUPID CRIMINALS OF 2007

by kiki2u @ 2007-12-23 - 19:58:16

" A policeman’s job is never easy, but dumb criminals make it somewhat easier. This list was whittled down from a much longer list of stories of the stupid things lawbreakers did this past year. These are in chronological order instead of rank. The dates are from the news stories; in some cases the crime itself happened earlier.

1. Lottery Thief Sets Himself on Fire
-ROME, GA June 2
A convenience-store thief got away, but the video from the security camera told a strange, strange tale. A man broke into the store overnight, and tried to cover his tracks by burning the place down. He threw charcoal lighter fluid around, but by the time he ignited it, the fumes had permeated the store, and he set himself on fire. While in flames, he grabbed a roll of lottery tickets and fled. At the time of the story, police were looking for a man with facial, neck, and possibly wrist burns.

2. Ten Hours Stuck in Restaurant Vent
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL June 8
An employee of the Lucky Buffet noticed a strange sight on arriving at the restaurant. There were legs hanging out of a vent over the grill! 45-year-old Billy Jordan had tried to enter the restaurant the night before by climbing through the ductwork, but became stuck and stayed there for ten hours. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue workers used a rope to pull Jordan back out through the roof, after which he was arrested for burglary.:))

3. Immovable ATM
-MILWAUKEE, WI July 27
Three men backed a stolen vehicle through the glass front of a gas station. Their intent was to steal an ATM. But they didn’t realize that ATMs are bolted to the floor. After some thought, they tied a rope around the machine and attched it to the vehicle, but still could not dislodge it. They left empty-handed. The ATM was still in working order the next day.8| :P

4. The Famous Duct Tape Bandit
-ASHLAND, KY August 13
Police say Kasey Kazee entered Shamrock Liquors and attempted to rob the store. Employees were astonished that he had disguised his face by wrapping it in duct tape! The store manager chased him out with a baseball bat and an employee held him in the parking lot until police arrived. Police removed the duct tape after taking pictures, and arrested Kazee, who denied any memory of the incident. |-|

5. The Sign of the Crime
-ADLINGTON, ENGLAND September 6
Peter Addison and his friend Mark Ridgeway vandalized the Toc H centre, a children’s campsite building. They smashed crockery, set off fire extinguishers, and drew grafitti on the walls. Part of the grafitti said “Peter Addison was here.” Police found Addison through a computer database. Both teenagers pled guilty and were ordered to pay for the damage.
-Inspector Gareth Woods, of Cheshire Police, said:
“This crime is up there with the dumbest of all in the criminal league table.:))
“There are some pretty stupid criminals around, but to leave your own name at the scene of the crime takes the biscuit.”B):)):))

6. He Didn’t See the Cop
-LITTLE ROCK, AR September 7
21-year-old Langston Robins walked right past a uniformed police officer at the Metropolitan Bank and handed a robbery note to the teller. The unarmed would-be robber was arrested after a foot pursuit. Little Rock police spokesman Lt. Terry Hastings said:
-“I just don’t know why he didn’t see a uniformed police officer standing basically right in front of him,” Hastings tells the Associated Press. “My guess is he’s just not the brightest of people.”:))

7. He Stole a Car to Turn Himself In
GENEVA, NY September 13
29-year-old Vincent Estrada Junior was pulled over because the car he was driving had been stolen from a parking lot. Estrada explained that he had stolen the car in order to drive to the Geneva City Police Department and turn himself in on a family court warrant! He didn’t make his destination, as police took him to the Ontario County Jail instead, where he was held on car theft charges. |-|

8. Burglar Falls Asleep Under Victim’s Bed
WHITLEY BAY, England September 17
Usually, the burglar robs the house while the victim is asleep, but in this story, the roles were reversed. 24-year-old Mark Smith sneaked into Heather Stephenson’s home, crept past her while she was ironing, and rifled through her belongings in the bedroom. Then he fell asleep under her bed. Mrs. Stephenson couldn’t wake him, and police officers had to drag him out from under the bed. Smith’s vodka and valium consumption were to blame. He received an 18-month sentence for burglary.XX(:zz::)):))

9. Cash My Million-Dollar Bill!
PITTSBURGH, PA November 9
A man flew into a rage at the Giant Eagle supermarket when employees refused to cash a million-dollar bill. 66-year-old Samuel Porter slammed an electronic machine on the counter and refused to give his name to authorities. He was then taken to the Allegheny County Jail. The largest bill currently in circulation is the $100 dollar bill. :P

-Bonus: It happened again soon afterwards in Georgia!

10. Carjacking at a Crime Scene
-RALEIGH, NC December 11
There had been a stabbing, and police were on the scene talking to a woman who had been a witness to the crime. 38-year-old Anthony William jumped into the woman’s car and drove away! He was arrested the next day, easily identified by the cops who saw him steal the car.XX(:))

Asylum Seekers here too..but now arriving by sea!!!

by kiki2u @ 2007-12-18 - 05:49:34

Yes, till now they use to come from East countries, by land, because the Morocco ones use to arrive by sea but in Spain...just as they usually are caught easily by Spanish Police, they decided now to reach Portuguese land, or by mistake they arrived in Portugal's coast, or they did it so go by land to Spain..well now only if they say we will know what they wanted coming here!..just we have a very GOOD Police, even on Air Force and Navy, which controll that area between Portugal's south and North Africa, also to help Spain about this problem, so check out what happened yesterday by evenning:

- " Boat people arrive in Olhão:
.Small vessel with 23 illegal immigrants
A vessel with 23 illegal immigrants purportedly from Morocco was detected this afternoon off Culatra island in the Algarve. Aboard the small wooden vessel with a small outboard agent there were eighteen men and five women aged between 25 and 30. The rescue operation involved elements of the Navy, the investigative police and PSP police and several fire departments and included the use of a helicopter.

At the port of Olhão emergency paramedic teams gave medical assistance to the African immigrants who were suffering from dehydration and hypothermia. Two of them were taken to Faro hospital.

The Governess of Faro has denied that four of the 23 immigrants fled from police. 'The situation is under control,' Isilda Gomes told journalists.

SIC learned the group of immigrants began their sea journey in Morocco in a small wooden boat with a small outboard motor and were heading for Spain. However, the journey did not go as planned and four years later they ended up off the Algarve coast not having eaten or drunk anything for four days.

According to authorites this is the first case of its kind to arrive on the Portuguese coast. In the words of the regional director of the immigration services, José Vanderkellen, 'it is a one-off situation' and nothing leads him to believe the Algarve 'might be at risk' of similar incidents.

Every year thousands of illegal immigrants from sub-Saharan Africa make their way to Spain and its territories, the Canary islands and the Balearic isles. In 2007, the Canaries alone have been the destination of 30,000 illegal immigrants. "

How2Give Your PET a PILL..TIPS4DOGS,CATS...

by kiki2u @ 2007-12-18 - 04:49:03

"Do you want to know how to give your pet a pill? Cats and Dogs? Check this out ;): If you need to know how to give your pet a pill, this is the article you need. Methods for giving pills to dogs and cats are provided, as well as a series of extra tips.
- How to Give Your Pet a Pill: Methods for DOGS:
1. Wrap the pill in a treat, such as bacon or cheese. Be sure to give your dog a couple of treats without any pills so that when you throw the treat with a pill, it will be quickly swallowed.
2. Grab your dog firmly and push the pill to the back of the dog's throat quickly. Clamp your dog's jaws shut immediately and blow into your dog's nose. Bonus tip: If your dog licks his nose, it usually means he's swallowed the pill. ( LOL Great2know this one :)) )
3. A third simple method is to crush the pill and mix it into a treat. Sometimes this works with regular food, but it is better to use a treat in our experience. This is obvious if your dog only eats dry food since the pill cannot be properly mixed.

- How to Give Your Pet a Pill: Methods for CATS:
1. Wrap the pill in bite of special food or in a treat. Cream cheese seems to be especially effective. Then let your cat eat the food in any way they works best. For some cats, this means putting the treat (and the pill) in the food dish. In other cases, it is better to have your cat eat it away from the normal food dish or from your finger.
2. If your cat cannot ingest the pill or will not eat solid food, you might have to crush the pill. If it is a gel cap, then you'll simply pop it. Mix the powder or gel with a treat. In some cases, this can be done all at once. In other cases, you'll have to spread the doses over a couple of treats. It depends on what your cat needs to ingest.
3. If you mix the pill with cream cheese or some other spreadable cat treat, you can put it on your cat's paw. You'll see that almost instantly your cat will lick up the treat and the crushed pill. The one caveat is that this can be messy for you and your cat. Plan ahead!
4. If you have a kitten, simply train your cat to accept pills thrown into their throats. Kittens generally aren't strong enough to prevent you from doing this. If you do this from when they are young from time to time, they will learn to swallow the pill. No mess, no fuss.

- How to Give Your Pet a Pill: EXTRA TIPS:
1. Teach your pet to know about very special treats. Provide those treats occassionally without any pills. Then, when your pet needs pills, those treats can be injected with the pills. Your pet will never know the difference.
2. Try to teach your pet to like pills from a very young age. You can do this via pet training techniques or simply by following the advice above. That is, acclimate your pet to certain treats from a young age, and insert pills when needed.
3. If the pill is time released, you cannot use the pill crushing method. You'll have to use the "trick or treat" methods described above. That is, your dog or cat will have to get the pill via a special snack or yummy treat.
4. To smash pills, you can probably use two metal spoons. Place the pill between two spoons and slowly crush it. This will leave the powder right in the spoon, ready to be mixed with a treat or in a liquid.
5. In general, moist (not dry, not wet) treats work best for both cats and dogs. For example, cream cheese, cheese, bacon, hot dog chunk, tuna and so forth, are all excellent moist treats to use with pets. Cream cheese and peanut butter are especially effective because it gets stuck in your pet's mouth. JUst be careful about the quantity you use. Bonus tip: You'll want to avoid hard cheeses because they crumble.
6. If you suspedt that you'll have issues getting your pet to take a pill, when you ask your vet on how to give your pet a pill, also ask for a syringe without a needle. You can crush up pills, mix them with water, and inject into your pet's throat. ( :)) Good ths one too, easier i guess LOOOOL )
7. Be careful not to choke your pet with too much food or treats when administering the treatment. You have to be careful with syringes. Also, be careful about the types of medications being mixed with treats. For example, you don't want to crush up time release capsules. Be careful about sharp edges in your environment so that if your pet whips her head ahread for some reason, everyone is safe. Finally, be careful about sharp fingernails. You don't want to hurt your pet's nose, tongue or throat.
8. Consider pet pill pockets. They are (usually) healthy treats which encase or enclose the pills. You can find them online and through your vet. Of course they come in different flavors and sizes to fit your needs. Some of them also include probiotics which encourage healthy intestines.

- Wrap Up:
So, how to give your pet a pill? Well, it depends on your pet and your situation. I'm sure you'll find a way to make the magic happen. Be patient and loving. When in doubt, consult your vet for tips and advice. Good luck getting that pill into your pet!"

GEEEEZZZZ, well: Yes, this is great to know but they don't tell us an easy way to give them, cats and dogs the SUPPOSITORIES XX( OH :(
Cz is always a madnness isn't it? :)):)):))
